UNABRIDGED Magazine, a local effort transitioning to national, is currently seeking a Managing Editor to manage the everyday activities associated with publishing its professional magazine. This is a unique opportunity to lead the total design of a monthly print magazine, the creation of its dedicated website, and the launch of the first national and digital edition and a total conceptual re-vamp of the existing local edition.



Developing and sustaining the magazine will require a strong leader with a demonstrated ability to work effectively with freelance writers, member contributors, contract design staff and produce a premier magazine for professionals who live single either by choice or of circumstance. Position is responsible for providing support for all communications and publishing efforts.



Requirements:

Requires a bachelors degree in journalism, Demonstrated Business ability,Marketing ability, communications, English or related field of study. Ideal candidate will have a minimum of five years of editorial experience along with print publishing experience. Candidates must be able to provide published attributed work samples.
