We are currently seeking a qualified Oracle PL/SQL Developer for an excellent contract opportunity with our nationwide client.



This project is expected to last 12-18 months with the very high liklihood of long-term extension.



The Oracle PL/SQL Developer will be participating in all aspects of the project life-cycle including designing, developing and implementing software solutions in a UNIX environment, utilizing Oracle, PL/SQL and AWK/Shell Scripts.



Candidates should have a minimum of 5 years experience in application design, development of specifications and/or prototypes, and the development, maintenance, and testing of programs.



Primary responsibilities will include developing program specifications and detail design documents, coding, testing and debugging application programs.



Responsibilities will also include developing prototypes from functional specifications, and participating in application/systems design including the use of analytical techniques.



Candidates will be working under the direction of a team leader, senior technical person or analyst.



QUALIFICATIONS:



- Strong UNIX skills

- Excellent Oracle PL/SQL Programming skills

- Strong experience with AWK and Shell scripts
