Permits and Contracts Specialist


Soul Circus, Inc., a national touring circus, headquartered in Atlanta, GA, seeks an experienced Permits/Contracts Specialist to obtain all permits and/or licenses to allow the circus to perform in different cities and venues across the country. The position also assists with venue contracts. The type of permits include: buildings & standards, sound; food & health; fire; pyrotechnics; water; animal; electrical; zoning and special event permits. The position is responsible for all preliminary interfaces with local, county, state and federal officials with regards to all permit requirements; Completes and processes all permit and fee applications, schedules inspections, and interacts with the site and home office personnel.





Preferred Qualifications: Bachelors degree and a minimum of 4 yrs demonstrated exp in obtaining permits and executing contracts; proven exp communicating effectively with high level government officials; demonstrated knowledge of permit laws and operations related to a touring show. Accuracy and effective follow through required; Proficiency in application of spreadsheet software and internet research a must. Position requires some travel especially during initial training period.

Salary: entry level salary $32,000 - $35,000 annually and is negotiable beyond based on experience.
