Job Requirements: The candidate must be highly organized, with a strong sense of detail and follow-through. The candidate must be MAC savvy, have an exceptional sense of typography and possess 3-5 years experience in magazine layout and design. The candidate will work in the new Atlanta area office of the magazine.





Responsibilities include:


Photo research and archiving for the magazine


Assisting in design of collateral pieces to promote magazine


Layout and design, as well as flowing in of copy for stories for the magazine


Assisting with implementation and adherence to deadline schedules


Communicating with freelance photographers and illustrators


Staying on top of design trends and MAC technical trends


Assisting with production and pre-press of the magazine during closing





Skills required:


3-5 years solid experience in magazine layout and design


Experience with magazine or CMYK pre-press production


Strong knowledge of Adobe PDF Workflow


Excellent Quark, Photoshop, Illustrator knowledge


Strong technical, organization and planning skills and attention to detail


Excellent oral and written communication, interpersonal and team building skills


Ability to remain poised and productive under deadline pressures


BA/BS or equivalent
