Job Title: Mental Health Specialist

CANDIDATE MUST CURRENTLY HAVE A LCSW,LPC OR EQUIVALENT LICENSURE
SUMMARY: Provides mental health services oversight and implementation, and executes administrative policies determined by or in conjunction with other officials by performing the following duties.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Performs in-depth assessment of designated clients referred to 24/7 Gateway Center Mental Health Program through first floor intake desk.
Coordinates case management and rehabilitation support for assigned clients.
Documents all interventions and relevant information according to established 24/7 Gateway Center guidelines.
Actively participates in the development and execution of the client’s rehabilitation plan.
Maintains certification, licensing, privileging, and knowledge of current trends in community mental health service.
Work to help consumers achieve and maintain their highest level of independent functioning in the community.
Work in collaboration with Gateway partners and community resources.
Assesses the delivery of service and actively seeks resources and opportunities in the community.
Links Gateway residents to community mental health resources and successfully completes supports for assigned Gateway clients.
Additional Duties and Responsibilities:
Serve as a member of the Operations Team and attend all Operations Team meetings.
Coordinate special projects as assigned by the Director.
Write and send correspondence on own initiative, within the guidelines set by the Director.
Screen and reply in a timely manner to all incoming correspondence, electronic and otherwise.
Responsible for working with the Director to maintain appropriate mental health program services throughout the 24/7 Gateway Center.
Responsible for maintaining and making necessary reports for funding sources, as it relates to related grants.
Other duties may be assigned.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: Supervises Client Engagement staff and Help Desk staff, as assigned.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: LCSW, LPC, or equivalent.
LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, faith community, regulatory agencies, Provider Partners, or members of the business community. Ability to write speeches and articles for publication that conform to prescribed style and format. Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups, United Way of Metropolitan Atlanta, the Commission on Homelessness, government entities, and/or boards of directors.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to work with mathematical concepts necessary to develop and maintain budgets.
REASONING ABILITY: Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: Valid Georgia Driver’s License and MVR with qualification standards as established in 24/7 Gateway Center Driver’s Manual.
