The Georgia Law Enforcement Disaster Response Inc. (GLEDR), a 501(c) (3) Non-Profit organization is submitting this letter of intent to determine your interest in supporting us so we can continue to instruct school staff and law enforcement officers to handle school violence and school shootings situations, like the Columbine and Virginia Tech shootings, so to protect the lives of our children. Our mission is to improve the training and response time of the nation’s law enforcement agencies and school districts in the event of an emergency situation. Our organization operates only through donations.
We offer our program free of charge to any and all communities that wish to invite our program. We have been able to do this so far through our Board Members’ donations. The program, when taught to law enforcement officers, teaches them special tactics so if they are first to respond to a scene with an Active Shooter, they may be able to enter the location, then find and terminate the threat; instead of surrounding the building and maintaining a perimeter until other forces arrive, they will be more aggressive, and this will in-turn save many lives.
Our second mission is to respond to all disasters, such as; hurricanes, tornadoes, terrorisms and floods throughout the United States and provide relief and rescue to the devastated communities and police agencies; when Katrina struck our shores, we went to Mississippi to help establish stability.
We were asked to respond to the floods up north but for the first time, due to funding, we had to declined. We are raising money as we speak so this situation does not happen again. We need your help. You may visit us at
