I took first young pet cat there to get spayed. They were very accommodating and nice! She was pregnant and they took care of it. The glue they used wasnt completely even and there was a bump but she ended up healing fine nevertheless.

They said if I got blood work it would be fine to bring my older 8 year old cat in. BUT I drove 1 hour there and they said it was too risky because she was older and they didnt provide an IV. I told them over the phone she was an older cat and they didnt say anything! I wish they had told me to fax or scan in the bloodwork before I drove all the way there. Although they offered to spay her anyways, they said it was not recommended so I did not do it. Such a waste of morning :(

Also...it really smells. Theres around 20-25 cats in 1 room and although they care for them it just does not look sanitary. I felt guilty leaving the first cat there because of the smell, the whines, the meows, and the hisses coming from the back. Also you will not even get to meet or see the veterinarian so it feels very impersonal. I don't think it should be shut down, it is great if you can't afford to spay/neuter, if you have ferals and they take cats in to adopt them out. However, if you have a pet over 2 years old or older or can afford it, go to a safer place because they don't seem very confident in themselves.

I had my cat fixed there, and they were kind and professional. They genuinely cared for my cat. Yes, he was bumping into walls and stuff until the anesthesia wore off. You would be too if you were up walking around immediately after surgery. That is normal, and to be expected post-op. Yes they tattoo them. Every vet will do the same, because check it out that is the ONLY way to ensure that if they get lost, another vet/clinic will try to "fix" them again. They can't TELL someone, "nope, I am good, already been fixed" becuase they can't talk.

I think probably you were not prepared with knowledge of what is typical prior to and maybe even after the operation. I am sure your cat is fine how, isn't she?

If you have a 'HOMELESS, WILD' cat that you need help with this might be the best bet to getting the animal fixed. BUT definitely not the place for your household "very much loved" pet. We needed our pet fixed and didn't have $$$ to take her to a vet we desired so we found out about this low priced clinic...and it wasn't a good idea at all. We have turned what we thought would be a low budget $65 dollar expenditure(all we could really afford) to now over $600(borrowed) from having to take our poor baby to other 24hr er places for all sorts of post op issues. A tatoo mark is made to your animal during there visit which we were NOT advised about, NOT told that this is a common procedure..SO imagine our horror when hours after we have our baby home from surgery she is biting thru glue and green stuff comes out of what we thought was part of the suture site. She also suffer greatly with all sorts of adverse reaction from meds, anesthesia: Telazol-ketamine, Isoflurine gas...perhaps lack of O2 during her surgery because for hours on end post op at home she was bumping into walls and cabinets things right above her head....LACK OF PROPER OXYGEN during surg can cause some blindness. SO..our story still goes on w/ worst details but lets us inform you, advise you to PLEASE CONSIDER NOT HAVING YOUR PET FIXED at low cost places..or this place. They will not lose money for they do charge very little, to no $ for their services..BUT you'll get what you pay for basically. The only thing + I have to say about this place is there is an afterhour er tech that you can call for er case post op..she was VERY good at calling back and giving you all the advise she could but her hands are tied..she could only tell so much that could help the situation. Jaime was the rudest person there. If you call in the a.m. and she answers don't be surprised if she cuts you off and says to call back later when she's not to busy checking animals in! AGAIN..HAVING PROBLEMS W/ A WILD CAT THAT YOU'RE NOT EMOTIONAL INVOLVED WITH OR LOVE AND NEED HELP wit SOMEHOW..THIS IS YOUR PLACE.
